Checklist for Your Driving Test

Good preparation can make a big difference on the day of your driving test. The RSA provides an official checklist to help you make sure that both you and your vehicle are ready before you arrive at the test centre.

Key points include:

• Bringing your current learner permit and any required documents

• Ensuring your vehicle is roadworthy, taxed, insured (printed in color with green stripe) and NCT‑compliant where required

• Provide a copy of your insurance where you are named as an insured driver

• Checking that all lights, indicators, wipers and tyres are in good working order

• Making sure L‑plates are correctly displayed

• Arriving in good time so you are not rushed or stressed
